Blessid Thunder is a 4 piece rock band from Ohio featuring 2 lead guitar players, bass and drums. Jeff Pence, the founder of the rock pop international recording group "Blessid Union Of Souls" hooked up with Curt Benton and Roger Julien, the co-founders of the Ohio recording group "Thunder Head", to form the core of this edgy and bluesy guitar driven experience. Although the sound of this band is fresh and full of new energy, we must go back some years to get the real story behind this group. When Pence wasn't even old enough to get into the bars and brew houses that Thunder Head was playing in, his friend Jeff Higgins approached the group and told them he knew a guy that might work out in their band. Even though Pence only knew the entire 2nd record by Molly Hatchet, they liked his playing and attitude took him in under their wing. Higgins did the lights, and Pence played rhythm guitar. Curt taught Jeff the guitar parts to about every southern rock song ever written and guitar chords he had never heard of before. Pence said later, "I was not good enough to play in that band when they hired me!". After about 5 years of playing with Thunder Head, Jeff went on his own to travel up and down the east coast playing nightclubs and resorts till finally forming the group "Blessid Union Of Souls".

After Blessid Union was signed to EMI Records, Pence never forgot how much Curt Benton did for him, and he invited him to play harmonica and guitar on one of their singles "Oh Virginia". Not only that, he got him a part in the MTV video for the song and they flew out together to film it somewhere in the desert just outside Los Angeles. Blessid Union went on to sign deals with 3 other labels including Capitol, Push and V2 Records. Benton was asked back many times not only to play instruments on the recordings but co-write songs as well including the single "Story Book Life". Jeff and Curt both received multiple gold and platinum records for their work with Blessid Union Of Souls. After taking a break from touring for a couple of years, Jeff, Curt and Roger are excited about their new adventure.

Not only does the group play most of the Blessid Union radio hits, they pay tribute to the bands and sounds they and you grew up on rockin out with their high energy, hard hitting, bluesy and soulful turn up the effin guitar sound that is guaranteed to get your feet feet movin, your arms wavin and your heart thumpin.
